Elementary Education
Purpose of the Program
In the Department of Elementary Education, education is provided in two undergraduate programs accredited by EPDAD - Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs. The aim of the Department of ElementaryEducation is to train qualified preschool teachers and primary school teachers who have the necessary theoretical-practical knowledge and skills in the field of education, who can think critically, have advanced problem-solving skills, research, question, are aware of the country's problems, and are lifelong learners. Since 2004, all students who have successfully completed their education are automatically given the Diploma Supplement in English, which is prepared according to the model developed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe, and UNESCO/CEPES. In addition, the Department of Elementary Education has bilateral agreements with different institutions within the scope of the Erasmus+ Student and Academician Exchange Program, Farabi, and Mevlana Exchange Programs. Within the framework of theseagreements, the exchange of students and academicians can be supported and mutual information and experience sharing can be made.
