Program of Educational Administration

Purpose of the Program

The Program of Educational Administration aims to train experts in administration, supervision, planning, and educationaleconomics for the Ministry of National Education and other institutions, contribute to the literature through scientificresearch, and enhance the professional competencies of teachers, administrators, and supervisors working in educational institutions. Additionally, the program strives to equip students with the ability to access, evaluate, and interpretinformation through scientific research. The program offers four programs.
Educational Administration, Planning and Economy Master's Program accepts both Turkish and international students each year. Additionally, there is an opportunity to transfer from the non-thesis master's program to the thesis master's program. Applications require an ALES score in the equal weight category (minimum 55 points). Applicants must be graduates of a Faculty of Education or have a teaching qualification from any four-year undergraduate program and meet the foreign language requirement. Admitted students may be required to complete a scientific preparation program if necessary. This program comprises at least 7 courses, a seminar course, a specialization course, and a thesis, totaling a minimum of 21 credits and at least 120 ECTS credits. The program duration is 4 semesters, with a maximum completion time of 6 semesters.

Educational Administration, Supervision, Planning and Economics Non-Thesis Master's Program Applicants must be graduates of a Faculty of Education or hold a Pedagogical Formation Education Certificate. The program consists of at least 10 courses and a term project course, totaling a minimum of 30 credits and at least 60 ECTS credits. The maxim duration of the program is three semesters.

The doctoral program aim to equip students with the ability to conduct independent research, analyze scientific problems,contribute to theory and practice with an interdisciplinary perspective, and utilize technological advancements. For students admitted with a thesis-based master's degree, the program consists of at least 21 credits and a minimum of 240 ECTS credits. Applicants with a bachelor's degree must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 and a minimum ALES score of 80 in the relevant category. For these students, the program includes 14 courses totaling 42 credits and at least 300 ECTS credits. Bachelor's degree applicants must be graduates of a Faculty of Education or hold a Pedagogical Formation Certificate, and they may be required to complete a scientific preparation program if necessary. For master's degree applicants, a thesis-basedmaster's degree in Educational Administration, Supervision, Planning, and Economics or a master's degree in Public Administration with a Pedagogical Formation Certificate is required.

Graduates of the programs can serve as administrators, supervisors, planners, and educational economists in the Ministry of National Education and other educational institutions. The department also provides opportunities for international education and research through the Mevlana and Erasmus programs.  The Institute of Educational Sciences announces current enrollment information annually on its official website.
