Purpose of the Program

Bilgisayar The goal of the Computer Education and Instructional Technology Department is to educate qualified computer teachersand information technology specialists who follow the scientific and current developments in the field and respect professional ethics.

Computer Education and Instructional Technology Undergraduate Program

Lisans The duration of the Computer Education and Instructional Technology Undergraduate Program is four years. The language of the program is Turkish. The undergraduate program consists of 240 ECTS credit in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Students who successfully complete all the courses in the undergraduate program and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are eligible to receive a Bachelor's Degree.

Computer Education and Instructional Technology Undergraduate Program consists of three main dimensions:professional development (pedagogical knowledge), content knowledge, and general culture. The undergraduate program supports students to provide knowledge and skills in programming languages, database management, webdesign, multimedia design, material design, distance education, project development and management, and basicpedagogical formation.

Graduates are employed as information technologies teachers, instructional technologists and designers work in schools, and web designers and programmers in companies.

Orhun, Erasmus, Mevlana, and Farabi exchange programs are carried out together with Ege University International Relations Coordination Office. The department also has a master's and doctoral program for graduates who want to continue their post-graduate education.
The Faculty of Education has a technology classroom and two laboratories with 40 computers.

Computer and Instructional Technologies Undergraduate Program was accredited by the Associatation for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs (AEATEP in Turkish EPDAD) in 2021.
